Bravo!! TRRC West Midlands Team

Members Of The Team With TRRC Officials

The TRRC West Midlands Team has worked tirelessly and in synergy to make sure all the Ts are cut and the Is are dotted. This involved a whole lot of organisations, we did it by involving various associations and religious groups throughout the West Midlands and our efforts have paid a massive dividend. To bring such a concerted effort to fruition, we called the various associations and religious groups to a preliminary meeting where the attendees stepped up to assume different responsibilities and some pledged generously towards the financial expenses.

We did not stop there but went on and worked in collaboration with Wolverhampton Gambian Association where we were allowed to raise some funds through individual donation. This was followed by another collaborative event with Unity Promotion and this time we were allowed to participate in the Luncheon Sale activity. The proceeds from the Luncheon Sale event has tremendously boosted our financial position.

We had an insatiable desire to make the TRRC West Midlands event more successful and pretty much colourful that prompted us to print T-Shirts and they were sold through the members. Although it was a little bit late but the proceeds from the sales have improved our cash in hand and to top it all, made our event glamorously spectacular.

The Icing on the cake was on the D-DAY, our team come out in full force with the beautiful attires and worked wholeheartedly to make sure the event was one of the kind. The TRRC Diaspora Engagement Mission was thrilled by our organisation and commitment. Our ardent determination have so far put our name on top of the list of all the places TRRC Diaspora Engagement Missions have visited and for that matter,  we are so proud of the team

The Way Forward

After the successful hosting of TRRC Diaspora Engagement Mission in the West Midlands, it is becoming increasingly apparent that this group should be catapulted to a whole new dimension where Gambians in the West Midlands should work in unison to bring our activities under one umbrella. This will consolidate us into one big family and without a doubt foster stronger fraternal relations between us. We shall undoubtedly handle the common interest of the whole Gambian communities in the West Midlands if we have such a formidable structure in place. The question is, do we have the will to do it? Yes, we do especially gauging from the outcome of the TRRC event. How can this be sustained? By maintaining the momentum that gelled us to achieve the tremendous result and never give up in our pursuit.

Once again, kudos to TRRC West Midlands Team, you have been phenomenally, phenomenally incredible.
