We are pleased that TRRC West Midlands Team was very successful in terms of organisation, appearance and hospitality. We would also like to register the same kind of success with regards to the financial contribution towards reparations. We have already raised a reasonable amount of money and this can be confirmed from the financial statements. The surplus we have reported in the financial statement excludes the amount collected by the TRRC West Midlands Team in the hall and the additional amount collected by Essa Faal. There were pledges as well but these records are in the possession of the UNDP representative and we are yet to confirm that amount. We have endeavoured to capture every penny but the Project Manager was out on other errands when the subsequent activities took place. Nevertheless, we have tried to make a follow-up but we have learned that the lady stayed in Sweden to continue her holiday and that record will be reported as soon as we receive it when she returns to The Gambia from her holiday.
The amazing TRRC West Midlands Team would like to match the financial success with our hospitality and in that vein, we are setting up a “gofundme” fundraising campaign whilst we await the final report from the UNDP representative. We are confident that enough funds will be raised through this method to make TRRC West Midlands Team the top-ranking contributor in all aspects and a force to be reckoned with.
