International Organisation for Migration (IOM) Meeting in Birmingham

The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with The Gambia High Commission and GK Partners organised a diaspora consultative event hosted by the Gambian Association at Kind Aid International, 288 Camden Street, Birmingham, B18 7PW on 14th December 2019. The purpose of the event is to present information about the new diaspora study that aims to build the profile of the diaspora in the UK, to share various policies and development information taking place in The Gambia and within the diaspora and to discuss the many ways diaspora can engage in the development of The Gambia.

The event was well attended by The Gambian diaspora in Birmingham and the surroundings and the following below were the event agenda;

The Gambian Diaspora in the UK Questionaire Forms were distributed amongst the attendees and the organisers were highly impressed with the response of the numbers of the forms filled during the meeting. More Questionaire forms were distributed to be given to those who did not attend the meeting and also the attendees were advised to urge others to complete the Questionaire online through the link below
